The following lesson was presented to Mr. Clifford's ninth grade Global I classes. Each student was asked to pick a belief system, research it and create a brochure based on specific topics. I chose this example as my Instructional Unit for two reasons. First, it is a very thorough representation of a typical library research unit. The lesson not only incorporates the necessary resources and skills, but also demonstrates the required format (in this case Publisher Brochure) of presentation. Second, this is a project of true collaboration between teacher and librarian. The most successuful projects are those that incorporate library skills within the subject area. This particular project was created by Mr. Clifford, Ms. Kozak and myself.
